Authorization

Pursuant to subsection 2(4) of the Customs Act, R.S., c. 1 (2nd Supp.), as amended by S.C. 1998, c. 19, I hereby amend the authorization signed on November 10, 1998, to authorize an officer or a class of officers holding a position in the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency and listed in the attached Schedule, or an officer or a class of officers authorized to perform all of the duties of that position, to exercise the powers of the Minister under subsection 163.4(1) of the Customs Act. This authorization is effective on the day on which An Act to amend the Customs Act and the Criminal Code, chapter 7 of the Statutes of Canada, 1998, comes into force.

SCHEDULE

Subsection 163.4(1)

May designate any officer for the purposes of Part VI.1 of the Customs Act and shall furnish the officer with a certificate of designation.
