Frozen Self-rising Pizza - Notice of Preliminary Determination

Ottawa, May 17, 2004

On May 17, 2004, the President of the Canada Border Services Agency made a preliminary determination of dumping, pursuant to subsection 38(1) of the Special Import Measures Act, respecting frozen self-rising pizza originating in or exported from the United States of America (United States).

The preliminary results of the investigation show that imports from the United States were dumped into Canada by an estimated margin of dumping of 39.4%, expressed as a percentage of export price. A provisional duty will be imposed on imports of frozen self-rising pizza originating in or exported from the United States to prevent injury to Canadian production.

Additional information about this investigation will be available in a Statement of Reasons that will be available within 15 days on the CBSA Web site at: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/sima-lmsi/menu-eng.html
